Homeward Bound

Well, I have made the decison to return home to my family in Maine. I found out two weeks ago that my job at St. Jude has been filled and that my doctor doesn't believe that I will be able to return to work before my extended medical leave it up (if I could then I could apply for another position in the department). After a lot of thought and tears I decided it was best for me to return to Maine both emotionally and financially. My dad will be flying down to pack up my apartment while my mom and I are in Minnesota at Mayo. When my mom and I return we will all then make the long drive home to Maine. I haven;t seen a fall in Maine in seven years..so I guess that is something to look forward to.

I'm not sure of the exact date of our departure yet, but will be sure to let you all know. My time in Memphis as a member of the Gaggle has been memorable and an experience I am so grateful to have had. I hope one day to return to St. Jude and to the loving arms of my Gaggle guys (and gal, of course). I know that my parents would love to meet you all so I will be sure to let you know when they are here...don't be surprised if I ask ya'll to lend my daddy some muscle during the packing (only if you are available of course). Saying goodbye to my job is tearing me apart and saying goodbye to my Gaggle friends is even harder. I love you all and will always check in on the goings on of the Gaggle. Don't forget Shanendoah (or Miss Peach as AJ prefers)! I miss you all!

Love Always,
Sheridan

  • It is sad that you are leaving the rest of the guys. The Gaggle has become quite displaced, yet we are only as far as a phone call's notice. I know that you will be going home to a healthier environment where you can be cared for. It's a blessing to have a family like that, believe me, I know. We will miss you even more now. Let us know where we can contact you...good luck at the Mayo clinic, many wishes and blessings my darling Miss Peach. xoxo, a.j. and rob

  • Shenandoah! Say it isn't so! We want you to get better and feel better soon, so if moving to Maine is what it takes, then so be it. But we will miss you terribly and think of you often. And you'll always a have a place here in the southern sun.
